Social Capital Spurs Progress and Innovation 🤝

Alex Danco goes into detail about the acquisition of social capital—the networks of relationships among people who live and work in a particular society, enabling that society to function effectively.

Why does this matter? Your projects and programs are run with people using processes and tools. But while it may seem obvious to any that you can just instruct people and teams to do things, it becomes more difficult when they don’t report to you and you don’t have authority over them—a classic Program Management theme which requires the acquisition of interpersonal rapport (social capital).

Why does this matter? Taglines and slogans have long been used in advertising and corporate brand identity. Interestingly, they can be used for your own projects and programs to build a brand, identity, and presence of your work. Personally, I use it as a spinoff of Behavioral Priming and Anchoring.

Optimize Your Workflows with Trello Automations (Video) 🖌️

As a TPM, I personally have adopted kanban as my workflow organizer of choice. In particular, Trello is my preferred workflow and checklist tool.

Why does this matter? Anyone can benefit from the use of a kanban board and Trello is the de facto entry tool. As a Program Manager, my visibility is abstracted to a more strategic level and find it beneficial to see tasks reliant on different projects, programs, initiatives, and teams at an elevated (and colorful) level. I really enjoy using the automated recurring checklist functionality.
